Premiere of Balanced Mosaic Knitting

And there it is! Balanced Mosaic knitting!

I announced it already a couple of times something new was coming, but I’m finally ready to present to you the materials that I’ve been working on the last couple of weeks.

The video

For the introduction of the technique I made a video, in which I explain how I got to this way of mosaic knitting. And for how to do the technique I made 3 separate videos. A video for the cast on and row 1, a video for row 2, and a video for rows 3 and 4. This way you can take the right video without having to search in the video for the start of a row, because all together it is quite some watching time again 🙂 . See for all links at the bottom of this page.

Tutorials on the website

I have also split these up, in 5 parts. First the introduction of the technique with the whole story, after that the tutorial with the rules and pattern charts, and after that the photo-tutorials of the cast on and row 1, row 2 and rows 3 and 4.

Patterns: just a little bit more patience…

You have to wait a little bit more for the patterns. I’ve been working on it already, but they are not publishable yet. I do have to work on yarn-usage measurements and make the pdf’s in a way so that the pattern charts are readable, because I use adapted versions of the pattern charts with countings in it, as you can see in the videos, and it would be nice if you actually can see what figures are there 🙂 .  But they will be published quickly! Maybe already this weekend, but otherwise somewhere next week.

So for now…

I hope you will enjoy this technique!
