Three variations on one base design. In interlocking/interwoven crochet and mosaic crochet

Variation 1 – open squares

As you can see this has a lighter look than the other two. This is fully open squares.

Variation 2 – open and solid squares

This variation has more variation in color intensity. Certain elements pop out more.

Variation 3 – all solid squares

This variation is fully solid squares. The yellow ‘lines’ are more outspoken against the dark background. The mosaic version of this variation is also used for the Artdeco CAL 2024.

Yarn usage for the interlocking versions

Used yarn: Alize Cotton Gold. Color 1 is the ‘dark’ green color in the pictures, color 2 is the yellow color in the pictures.

Variation 1

Take 13 balls for color 1 and 12 balls for color 2.

Variation 2

Take 14 balls for color 1 and 12 balls for color 2.

Variation 3

Take 15 balls for color 1 and 12 balls for color 2.

The border, half color 1 and half color 2 is included in the amounts below. For my calculations I used 15 cm of yarn for starting and ending each row.

Take 16 balls for color 1 and 12 balls for color 2.
